Meet our Team

TraceyGulbransen Tracey Gulbransen - Recruitment Team Leader

I have recently stepped into the Recruitment Team Leader role after 15 months at the CDHB. Previously to this role I spent three years recruiting internally and externally. I lead a team of 11 internal Recruitment Specialists and Coordinators to deliver an efficient recruitment process for both our hiring managers and our candidates. Prior to stepping into the role of Recruitment Team Leader I spent seven months as the People and Capability Administration Team Leader, which will enable me to see the bigger picture across People and Capability Services and help streamline processes for our people.

TraceyGulbransenTaryn McGregor - Recruitment Specialist, Corporate and Support

I first joined the Canterbury District Health Board in 2016 working in the People and Capability Administration Team and was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to join the Recruitment Team a year later and now work as a Recruitment Specialist. As a graduate in Human Resource Management, I have developed a passion in a field where I can support an organisation in all levels of the business to attract, develop and retain talent –  which as a Recruitment Coordinator I get to do. There are exciting times ahead for the CDHB and I’m thrilled to be a part of this next chapter.

Hayley MilneHayley Milne - Recruitment Specialist, Corporate and Support

Began my studies at Canterbury University studying Psychology which directed me towards a career in Human Resource Management, followed by post-graduate study in HR at ARA. I joined the Canterbury District Health board in 2015 working within the Resident Doctors Support Team, assisting with the employment and on boarding processes of our new Registrars and House Officers. I then jumped ship to the Recruitment team in 2016 so I could be more involved in bringing the best talent to our organisation and providing support from day one.

JamesScarlettJames Scarlett - Recruitment Specialist, Allied Health

After graduating from University I moved into the sales Industry, I enjoyed establishing and building strong relationships so it was a natural progression into Recruitment. After working both locally and overseas in the Recruitment Sector I have covered a range of industries and developed a passion for assisting candidates onto their next career step. Having recently returned to Christchurch I have joined Canterbury District Health Board as a Recruitment Specialist in the Allied Health Portfolio and look forward to assisting and helping grow the Organisation and the Canterbury region.

HayleyBuickHayley Buick - Recruitment Specialist, Nursing

Having spent the majority of my career recruiting in the commercial sector at all levels and in all areas of business, it has been a goal of mine to partner solely with one organisation to drive their success through building strong teams. Recruiting nurses for both the major Christchurch hospitals and the smaller local hospitals in Canterbury’s rural townships has given me the opportunity to play my part in ensuring better health outcomes for all Canterbury Residents. It is great to work for an organisation that defines its success in the wellbeing of its community.

Nicki McNeillNicki McNeill - Recruitment Specialist, Nursing

After graduating from Christchurch Polytechnic as a Registered Comprehensive Nurse I started work at Burwood Hospital in Rehab and Orthopaedics. From there I secured a position in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where I stayed for over 20 years. The last two years of my career in neonates was as a Research Nurse working with the University of Otago which I thoroughly enjoyed. A recent change in direction has seen me venture into recruitment, an exciting and rewarding new phase of my career in which I’m able to help my nursing colleagues to secure the right position in the right team.

Rachael SalterAnna Hunter - Recruitment Specialist, Senior Medical Officers

My recruitment career began 5 years ago, where I worked with national/international recruitment agencies based in Canterbury to deliver the full suite of recruitment services, it was from this point on that I realised my passion for people and customer service.  In early 2016 I decided to take the leap into internal recruitment where I worked at NZ Post in Wellington providing recruitment services across a wide range of businesses including Management & Specialist, this was a great stepping stone into the CDHB where I currently work as a Recruitment Specialist covering the Senior Medical Officer portfolio.  I enjoy the complexity and variety that large, public sector organisations provide within my work.

Tessa JamiesonTessa Jamieson - Recruitment Coordinator, RMO

After graduating with my Master’s degree in Applied Organisational Psychology, I chose a large organisation that shares my values. I began as a Recruitment Coordinator for the Allied Health portfolio. Every day, I liaised with local and international candidates and explored the dynamics of recruitment in the health sector. Recently, I was approached to spearhead the recruitment of Registrars and House Officers across the east and west coast of the South Island. It’s great to be part of an organisation that provides continuous learning opportunities.

Rachael Salter John Ray - Recruitment Specialist, WCDHB

After several years in ‘lifestyle’ roles – first as a tour guide and then a zookeeper - I decided to pursue a career in human resources.  Starting with some studies through Massey University I then spent time as a workforce planner at Christchurch Airport before joining the CDHB.  Initially working as a coordinator in the Resident Doctors Support Team, I joined the recruitment team early in 2017 as the Recruitment Specialist for the West Coast District Health Board.  My current portfolio covers all spectrums of the health services on the West Coast and I enjoy the challenges of having multiple areas of responsibility.
