Our radiation therapy suite is state of the art – with the most modern technology, you’ll be part of some exciting work. We’re internationally acknowledged for our integration of image-guided radiation therapy into daily treatment. We’re actively engaged in multi-centre research trials exploring the new frontiers of radiation therapy.

Christchurch Hospital staff have the opportunity to rotate through all areas of the department including treatment planning and CT. We have specialist roles within the team to give you the opportunity to be a leader in specific areas including HDR Brachytherapy, IMRT, Clinical Education and Information Technology.

We’re proud of our paediatric oncology service (where we are involved all the way through the patient journey) we work with patients and family transforming the radiotherapy experience.

Our goal is to make Radiation Therapy the best possible experience for our patients – in every aspect – including meeting their psychosocial needs.
