Finance services within health are an important support service as they can save health care providers a lot of money which can be transferred to caring for the patient. Finance is a core department within the Corporate Office, which provide a crucial service to Canterbury District Health Board as well as West Coast District Health Board. This department manages the Finance and Supply Chain systems and processes and collaborates with local and national District Health Boards.
The finance sector consists of Accounts, Treasury and Reporting, Procurement, Supply Chain and Risk and Assurance
Accounts Administrators, i.e. Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll. Accountants, i.e. Management and Financial Accountant, Assistant Accounts, Cost Accountant, Audit, Finance Manager and Financial Controller, Financial Analysts and Business Analysts, Business Managers, ACC Contracts, Chief Financial Officer.
These roles generally require qualified candidates, however there are supporting finance roles which do not require qualifications. This role would suit someone who has good financial acumen and is interested in working with financial information.
